Steps To Reproduce:
1 Install the MDA VST's from http://mda.smartelectronix.com/ and stereoizer (attached - don't know its URL - it is not the same as other "stereoizer" VST's I found online) and the JS plugins ( http://web.archive.org/web/20130523203350/http://membres.multimania.fr/jeje1999/jspack.zip ) 2 Create some mono or stereo audio. 3 Open any MDA e.g. Delay or Vocinput (this requires stereo audio). 4 Move the sliders. Notice that the value labels on the right do not change and that the sliders interact with each other. As far as I can tell, only the default effect settings are ever applied.

Fix committed in 0251dc5.

I'm pretty sure this is because the subject VSTs were built for a VST version prior to 2.0. And the opcode used to check whether a parameter can be automated or not was added in VST version 2.

Tried on Windows 10 with several MDA VST's and the attached Stereoizer, with graphical interface and not (which doesn't make any visible difference in the effect interface). All seemed well - the sliders moved independently and the value label at right updated, both using mouse or using keyboard shortcuts. Saving and recalling a user preset worked.

Tried a few MDA VST's on Sierra, also with good result as for Windows.
