Description Gale Andrews 2015-10-14 23:10:28 UTC
None of the Audacity versions I tried e.g. 2.0.0 avoided the crash. Versions before 2.1.1 crash before opening the project window.

The 1.7.1 version tests OK AFAICT on OS X and Linux (32-bit) and works in Sonic Visualiser on Windows.

This is still the case on W10 with 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 latest alpha.

In contrast the 1.7.1 version of the Queen Mary Vamp plug-ins install fine on Mac
(macOS 1.12.3 High Sierra with latest alpha). And they can be enabled and used just fine.

Gale originally tested on W7 - I tested today on W10 (64-bit) so changed "Hardware" to PC Windows (all)

Vamp author Chris Cannam has committed to investigate this

I downloaded these on my W10 laptop with the installer that Chris provides.

Testing on W10 Audacity-2.3.0-alpha-ed34e6b

The Vamp plug-ins now load properly through the EGA Manager - and there is no crash.

I also tested several of them and they run fine.

So many thanks to Chris for fixing this.
