As discussed and agreed by QA, the "simple" option would be a better default Solo button behaviour for both new users and is probably the more useful behaviour for existing users.

The proposed enhancement is that "Simple" becomes the out-of-the-box default, and that "Standard" is renamed as "Multi-track".

"Simple" is now the default setting on both these platforms - and works as expected.

Looks to be fixed ok
