Testing on W10 with audacity-2.3.0-alpha-16-b71b8055344c4c80b547cbd92a83c21d399fe0bc

After struggling to learn how to make LOF files work for import (they don't seem to want to import audio or Midi files that are on the Desktop - but work fine from within the Audacity folder) ...

this now works properly on Windows with an entry being placed on the History stack.

Tesed on macOS 10.13.4 with latest mac nightly audacity-macos-nightly-2.3.0-69eba8f.dmg - 28.47 MB | version: 2.3.0--16Apr18

Also works properly on Mac with an entry being placed on the History stack.

But I really struggled trying to create a .lof file on the Mac. Using the Text Editor Mac only seems to let you have the file extension that it deems appropriate for your type of file save. I ended up by making the .lof file on my W10 laptop and copying it across s on a USB stick to the Mac - and it worked fine like that.

But how on earth a Mac user with no access to a PC gets to create a .lof file is beyond me :-//
