Description Peter Sampson 2016-06-11 11:28:12 UTC
The warning dialog that you get when Timer Record is set up such that it would overflow the currently available didk space is inconsistent in its pelling of disk/disc.

The title of the dialog is ok: "Timer Recording Disk Space Warning"

The explanatory text is ok: "You may not have enough free disk space ..."

But lower down it spells disk with a "c": "Recording time remainining on disc: ..."

I know that we would normally just list this in Wiki>Wording - but as this is a glaring inconsistency I decided to raise a bug report for it to track it.

Fix committed https://github.com/audacity/audacity/commit/9e74613 .

If you only rated it P4, which is probably reasonable, then I would argue it should not have been on Bugzilla.

BTW It is possible to have a P3 or higher bug without a release note where it makes no sense to have it for the user. A really embarrassing typo that made a nonsense word or rude word might be a non-release noted P2, for example.

The text correction appears correctly on Linux. I noticed and added Bug 1402.
