Steps To Reproduce:
Make a project with four or five tracks. Open the mixer board. Resize windows so they don't overlap. Experiment with various ways of changing the set of selected tracks: click and drag in tracks, clicks (with various modifier keys) in track control panel, shift + up or down arrow key. Observe that the mixer board updates its indication of selected tracks only for clicks on the track control panel.

Testing on W10 audacity-win-r53e30e5-2.1.3-alpha-27-jun-16

Mixer board now appears to update properly from clicks and selections in the waveform and not just clicks in the TCPs

Enhancement:
On testing this (and remember I never use the mixer board, so this is basically new to me) I found it initially hard to ascertain on the mixer board which tracks have the focus - and that is down to the focus indicator being rendered in that gray color.

Wouldn't it be better, clearer to the user and more consistent if the focus borders on the Mixer Board were rendered in the same yellow color as the focus indicators on the audio track panes?
Comment 3 Paul L 2016-06-28 09:15:16 UTC
There is focus, which is on one track only, and selection which may be on any subset of the tracks.

Mixer board shows sslection but does not show focus, nor should it, if it does not respond to keystrokes.

Testing on Mac on r145a54d 05Jul16

As with W10 Mixer board now appears to update properly from clicks and selections in the waveform and not just clicks in the TCPs

Works correctly on Linux too.
