Description Gale Andrews 2016-07-16 12:35:25 UTC
On Ubuntu 14.04 (GNOME/Unity) and Debian (Xfce), ESC has no effect in cancelling dragg to move or resize toolbars except when resizing a docked toolbar. The operation continues as if ESC was not pressed.

I believe this is now fixed as I can't get it to reproduce on Ubuntu 20.04.

Actually, not entirely true.

The escape is completely ignored on Windows when dragging or resizing.

Linux fairs a little better:

1) ESC while dragging a floater DOES work
2) ESC while resizing a docked toolbar DOES work

But:

1) ESC while dragging a toolbar from a dock to floating is ignored
2) ESC while resizing a floater is ignored

This all works perfectly on the Mac.

Man, I don't know what drugs I was on when trying this, but I was way off. Windows works just fine.

Returning to Linux only...

Well, I'm gonna have to give up on this one for now. I have absolute no idea what's preventing the key down event from getting to the toolmanager/toolframe/toolbar handlers and I've spent way too much time on it.

Will have to look again later.
