Steps To Reproduce:
1 Launch 2.1.1. Record for a second then Audacity > Quit audacity. Buttons from left to right are No, then much farther to right, Cancel and Yes. This is Mac-like in that Cancel is directly to left of the action button, and the "data loss" button is significantly to left of Cancel: https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/OSXHIGuidelines/WindowDialogs.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/20000957-CH43-SW5 . 2 Repeat Step 1 in 2.1.2 or 2.1.3-alpha. The button order is now Cancel, quite close to No then Yes. So Apple Guidelines are "violated" and muscle memory makes it harder to close without saving if that is what you wanted, but easier to lose data when you meant to cancel.
Release Note:
GROUP: Projects * (macOS) '''The button order in the "Save Changes?" dialog changed in 2.1.2 to a less Mac-like sequence of Cancel, No. Yes.

Description Gale Andrews 2016-10-15 12:15:08 UTC
I have not found other "bad" examples but there may be some.
Comment 1 Peter Sampson 2018-01-08 10:22:57 UTC
Actually testing on the latest 2.2.2 alpha the button order on Mac/Audacity for this is:
Cancel No Yes

And this appears to be the case at least as far back as 2.1.3

Incidentally the same button order on Windows is different to that on Mac:
Yes No Cancel.

Is this really a P3 bug - at best imo it could be P4 ENH - but I'm not convinced that it's a bug at all
Comment 2 Peter Sampson 2018-01-08 10:23:50 UTC
On both platforms the "Yes" is highlighted as the default action
