Steps To Reproduce:
1 Compile Audacity in Debug configuration then compile mod-script-pipe in Debug configuration. 2 Launch Audacity, enable mod-script-pipe in Modules Preferences then restart Audacity to confirm mod-script-pipe is enabled. 3 Execute /scripts/pipe-test.pl. On Windows 10 x64, ActivePerl 5.24.0 x64, I receive two debug assertions as below, then Audacity crashes even if I click "Ignore" on the Assertion windows. Debug Assertion Failed! Program: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCP120D.dll File: c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio 12.0\vc\include\xtree Line: 262 Expression: map/set iterator not incrementable Debug Assertion Failed! Description Gale Andrews 2016-10-18 14:53:05 UTC
Pipe-test.pl hangs with mod-script-pipe built in release configuration (bug 1526).

Pipe-test.pl script works OK on Mac.

Scripting has had a lot of work on it recently. We use pipe_test.py now. Several people have had no problem running it in both debug and release configurations on windows. This appears to be a historic bug, and not relevant now. There may be other new more specific bugs with the python scripts, which if so should be logged as new bugs.
