Description David Bailes 2016-10-25 06:40:42 UTC
I understand the expected behaviour when you tab to a label in the label track is that the text cursor is a the end of the name, and no part of the name is selected.

However, this isn't always the case. For example:
1. Create a label track with a singe label.
2. Select some characters at the beginning of the name.
3. Press tab twice to return to the label. The characters not selected in step 2 are selected.

Thanks for logging the bug and committing a fix, David. The bug occurred with cursor position too. If the cursor was at the end of character 1 in a five character label, then tabbing into the label again would select characters 2 to 5.

Tests ok on W10 on audacity-win-r597da6f-2.1.3-alpha-26-oct-16

and on Mac El Capitan cf54707 26Oct16

Tests OK on Ubuntu 14.04. I also tried with one of the labels hidden behind zero.
