Steps To Reproduce:
1. Use ibus with "pinyin" as your input method. 2. Create a label in Audacity 3. Hit Ctrl-Space to bring up ibus mode. 4. Type 'a', then '1' to enter a Chinese character -- this works for me, although it's slow (the slowness is a separate issue). 5. Hit the spacebar. Audacity hangs.

Description Al Dimond 2010-04-13 15:08:54 UTC
Using the ibus input system and the "pinyin" plugin, entering text into labels can cause a hang in wxClipboard::IsSupported(). It looks like it might be a re-entrance issue in ibus and we may want to work around it in Audacity.

Ubuntu 9.10 with ibus libs 1.2.0.20090927-2ubuntu2: I've tested with Py and Pinyin by creating a label then typed "a", then a number to enter Chinese characters. Also hit ENTER with the ibus character popup open. Neither caused a freeze after the fix (and entry is fast here).
