Description Peter Sampson 2017-03-24 12:11:05 UTC
Now with the changes to The Record functionality for 2.2.0 whereby "record beside"
i.e. Append Record is the new default record mode - and the Shift modified Record is a "record below" (Record New Track). We need to change the icon for the Record button obtaining when the user holds the shift button down.

Formerly it was the double-arrow pointing rightwards to indicate append/"record beside".

I would suggest that for starters we just try rotating that icon 90 degrees clockwise so the double arrows point downwards - unless somebody else has a better idea.

I've checked this works on all four themes in windows. I've previously checked the behaviour is also correct with the new option for record-new-track checked (though this is not part of the steps to reproduce).

No reason to expect different results on other platforms as they use the same bitmaps for these icons.

I already tested this on Windows 10 (including with Sound Activated Recording) so I don't have anything to add to James's comments.
