Steps To Reproduce:
1 New project. 2 Enable Sync-lock. 3 Import some MIDI. 4 Select a range of time within the track. 5 Generate silence, editing the duration to be either longer or shorter than the selection. In 2.2.0, since commit 6b84dc1c1de21f4ce1fd7309b25f1d12952b7140, Audacity crashes if there is a point selection at 0. Otherwise, in 2.1.3 or in 2.2.0, there is no sync-lock adjustment of the Note track to the length of the silence.

I did not have any problem with this. I tried generating at the cursor at the end of the track, and adding extra audio or MIDI tracks into the steps.
