Steps To Reproduce:
1. Generate 30 seconds of audio using DTMF 2. Select the region from 5s to 15s and cut. Notice that the quick play region still shows 10s of audio selected for quick play. Expected: no QP region selected. Playing with SPACE, or transcription toolbar button now plays the QP region, rather than just starting at the cursor, though play using Transport Toolbar button does clear the QP region first, so is less of a problem.

Description James Crook 2017-06-17 13:50:47 UTC
Too little audio is played by play-at-speed immediately after a cut.
Comment 1 Gale Andrews 2017-06-17 19:02:19 UTC
I had difficulty with the steps, as annotated. 2.1.3 is actually identical in behaviour between Play-at-Speed and normal Play. In both cases there, the first Play then Stop removes the unwanted region. But in 2.2.0-alpha, Play-at-Speed never removes the unwanted region.

I agree the fact that Cut does not remove the Quick-Play Region is a much more important fact for the bug subject than the current text.

to give greater clarity about the problem.

Also summary/title updated too.
Comment 4 Gale Andrews 2017-06-18 13:07:45 UTC
For the record it was a regression on 2.1.2. In 2.1.3, cutting a region that was paused already removed the Quick-Play region. It was only a problem if audio was stopped.

Fix tests OK to me. I tested Cut paused and not so, cutting a label and in a note track as well as audio. The logic of what is cut or copied to the clipboard from a note track is beyond my current understanding, but not relevant to this bug.

Looks like I don't need to test any other commands.
