Bugzilla – Bug 1691
Shortcuts for Mute and Solo do not work on Note tracks (MIDI)
Last modified: 2018-08-20 11:45:58 UTC
The shortcuts for Mute and Solo do not work for MIDI Note tracks. This is worse in 2.2.0 since we now have MIDI playback and have recently added tooltips to the buttons which show the shortcuts.

(In reply to Paul L from comment #1) Testing on W10-CE audacity-win-ra9a6f01-2.2.0-alpha-18-jul-17 The Mute and Solo buttons now work as expected in Note (MIDI) tracks, and the flickering has gone. The Help buttons in the TCP now have the delay before showing. All good on Windows
(In reply to Paul L from comment #1) Testing on mac OS Sierra 10.12.5 with Cliff's 19Jul17 I do not get actual sound output from MIDI NOte tracks on my Mac - but apart from that it goes through the proper motions. The Mute and Solo buttons now work as expected in Note (MIDI) tracks, and the flickering has gone. The Help buttons in the TCP now have the delay before showing. AFAICT looking to be ok on Mac - but ideally I'd prefer a test by someone who actually gets MIDI sound out of their Mac
(In reply to Peter Sampson from comment #3) Well after a long bout of arm-wrestling with my Macbook I finally managed to wring some MIDI sound out it with an Audacity Note track. The shortcuts in the focused Note track work correctly The Mute and Solo buttons now work as expected in Note (MIDI) tracks, and the flickering has gone. The Help buttons in the TCP now have the delay before showing. I will mark this as ok on Mac
Tested OK on Linux too. RESOLVE FIXED I note that the notetrack Mute and Solo buttons do not show the shortcuts on the tooltips. Treat as a wording bug (not a residual of this bug).
