Steps To Reproduce:	1. Start a multi-step macro in Audacity 2.3.0 2. Immediately bring another app to the foreground and wait until the macro switches to the next step. 3. Observe Audacity crash.

On MacOS if Audacity 2.3.0 is in the background and running a macro, when the macro changes to the next step Audacity crashes.

Testing with 64bit Audacity e609a9 shows no crash when running MacOS 10.13.6, 10.13.4 and 10.14.3.
