Steps To Reproduce:
1) get multiple audio tracks 2) turn on sync-lock 2) select just one of them 3) use the time shift tool over a non-selected track 4) Observe: the clock icons and the Timeline "selection" remain where they previously. Also occurs if at Step 2 a partial selection in one track is made.

Stranded clocks and selection after time-shifting tracks

Time-shifting multiple sync-locked tracks can corrupt the selection and clock icons - but only when the cursor is over a non-selected (clock-iconed) track.

It works properly if you drag a selected track (can be one of multiple selected tracks.

This was originally reported as a residual of Bug #2176

Steve and David discussed this on email on the Quality list - we decided this was "designed behavior"  (I still think it looks most odd) - marked as CLOSED NOTABUG
