Custom FFmpeg Export Options window oversized on 800x600
Last modified: 2018-08-20 11:51:23 UTC
* GA: On as-shipped Ubuntu 9.10 (800x600), the window is too wide and high. Impossible to display OK and Cancel buttons. Window is not resizable (same on Windows). Once you select a format or codec, ENTER does not accept the input and you can only ESC or [X]. On Win XP, dialogue slightly more usable (OK visible and does respond whatever part of dialogue is selected). o JC 06Jan10: I split this into two issues and moved the discussion of how to fix to the talk page. o JC 06Jan10: Possible fix now in CVS head. o GA 13Jan10: See Ubuntu 800x600 here. OK and Cancel are accessible and the dialogue sits on top of the Panel (where the Trash can is). Width is still a problem. If you click and type in the preset box without first dragging the window rightwards, you can't see the cursor, so it appears if nothing is being input. If you click in the codec or format list, ENTER does nothing. The narrower width of the Codecs list and the horizontal scrollbar only for this list looks a bit odd too. No problems on Windows at 800x600 - the dialogue is a bit smaller than the export file dialogue. I think this is worth a P3 at the moment? o JC 13Jan10: If we cut the bracket from the wording "Nor are all option combinations, (such as bitrates and samplerates), compatible with all codecs." That should make the dialog narrower. Suggest we do that and have a new P3 for the 'ENTER does nothing' issue.
This looks like it was fixed back in 2010. If it was live as a P2 it should be listed in the release notes - it is not. Can we close this please?
