Steps To Reproduce:	1 Launch Audacity and Tracks > Add New > Stereo Track. 2 Generate a tone. 3 Mute the stereo track just generated. 4 Tracks > Add New > Audio Track. 5 Generate Noise (so you can tell the difference with the tone). 6 Add a label underneath the noise track. 7 File > Export Multiple (format does not matter). File produced is the noise track (correct) but is stereo (dual mono) instead of mono.

"Use custom mix" in the Import / Export Preferences does not apply to Export Multiple so the only obvious workaround is to remove the track then undo the remove after export.

I think this is fixed (as per "steps to reproduce") with "ExportMultiple-2.patch" for bug 428

Title changed from "Export Multiple: muted stereo track makes single mono track export as stereo" to "Export Multiple by labels: muted stereo track makes single mono track export as stereo". Reason: this bug did not affect export multiple by tracks.

Thanks, Steve. Successfully tested on Windows. Steps to repro seems to be fixed.

I also tested straight export and export multiple by tracks of one muted stereo track above one unmuted mono track. Then repeated with both tracks unmuted. These cases all still work as expected.

New patch uploaded for bug 428 which should (still) resolve this bug.
