Steps To Reproduce:
New project Generate tone - tone track is selected Zoom out 1 click - not necessary, but helps to see what is happening Click Shift + Record button - when record cursor reaches the end of the selection it stops moving, but recording continues past the end of the selection.

See step to reproduce. It seems to me that in this case the recording cursor should continue moving.

Yes. If you SHIFT + A to stop and set cursor, the cursor should set where you stopped recording, but sets at the end of the tone.

Added discussion URL. Recording does not scroll once the recording cursor reaches the end of the window, which is probably the worst feature of this.

This no longer happens WORKSFORME - the recording continues, but now the recording cursor moves with it.

It was probably fixed by the work on Bug #1839 that Steve did
