Split from http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=561#c7 > Gale: "Mac / Linux users probably won't care about editability of the Date Picker > too much - as it never worked before, they are used to using the Calendar > (but given that, the End Date calendar bug 562 is a nuisance). > > Vaughan: "I think they're both wxWidgets bugs, probably related". Quite likely but we should research first before deciding.
The same is true on Windows too. The date pickers are not designed to be editable - you are supposed to use the up/down triangles at the right of the date picker box to change the dates up or down - with the day, moth and year separately changeable. I do not recall any requests abot this on the Forum for many a long year. See also: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Proposal_Improvements_to_the_Timer_Record_time_data-entry_spinbox_controls
