Equalization: Slight changes to Graphic Sliders after running the effect
Last modified: 2019-05-26 09:58:35 UTC
Similar can be seen when changing most sliders in Graphic Mode, applying the effect then reopening. The sliders for very highest or very lowest frequencies don't seem to be affected, but the others are. If you move one slider to + or - 20 dB, apply EQ then reopen, move a second slider near the other end of the scale to + or - 20 dB, apply EQ and reopen, then the slider you first moved will often have incremented or decremented by another 0.1 or 0.2 dB, so may now be + or - 19.7 or 19.6.
Testing on W10 with audacity-2.3.3-alpha-252-88dc11f525215cea57f7a89b0038fc7d40a50149 At Step 3 the 500 Hz slider correctly remains at -20db
Testing on 2,3,2 on macOS 10.15.5 I don't get hovertext tooltips so it's difficult to accurately judge - but on return to graphic mode the 500Hz slider looks fully at the bottom and the curve looks kosher.
I'm going to close this a RESOLVED When we fix the EQ split into the two modes Graphic and Draw separate effects (probably for 2.3.3) this problem should disappear anyway
