Description James Crook 2010-01-28 15:11:18 UTC
* JC: Reported by Doug Grinbergs. Better for PC too.
    * GA: I was proposing to track all those Mac suggestions as Feature Requests as per Leland's view, like support for dotted close button and proxy icon. I think those ideas could possibly be implemented in a cross-platform way. But I can't see why we would go to Mac style buttons (we'd have to do it globally, not just in this dialogue) so go out of kilter with our majority platform. We already change the Yes/No/Cancel order for Mac and Linux to respect those platform's sensibilities, so why not make the "Don't Save" change for Mac only?

So, perhaps we close this one as won't fix and create a new 'summary' P4 issue for "Cross platform hci class needed".

The intention would be that we end up with a class or two that insulate us from special cases in the rest of the code. We might even (later) add a preference 'mac-hci-guidelines' which allows someone to get mac style order of buttons etc on PC since that would be much easier to do if we encapsulate the change.

This a a very old Wording issue - if it belongs anywher it is in http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Wording.

Accordingly I am going to close this bug as WONTFIX
