Are these the sliders that you are referring to James?
The input slider change is untested as it is not supported on my system.

The changes work OK for me on Windows. The changes also affect the precise adjustment windows for each slider as intended, so marked "patch_ready".  

I think if David agrees we should also attend to the precise adjustment window for the gain and pan sliders on Track Control Panel. At the moment they have two page up/down steps and 10 using arrow keys. Should that be 10 page up/down and 72 using arrow keys?

Seems fine on Mac, too. RESOLVED - FIXED.
